Terms & Conditions

By making or confirming a reservation, providing payment details or checking in, the booking guest accepts these conditions on behalf of themselves and all guests and visitors connected with the reservation.

Specific conditions stated in a quotation or booking confirmation take precedence over these standard terms. Reservations made through a third-party provider may also be subject to that provider’s conditions.

Reservations, Identification & Occupancy

The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years of age. At least one registered adult guest must occupy the room throughout the stay.

Guests must provide complete and accurate booking information, including the number and names of all occupants.

Valid government-issued photo identification and a valid credit card in the booking guest’s name may be required before room access is provided. Prior arrangements are required for corporate or third-party payments.

Only registered guests may occupy or use the room. Maximum room occupancy must not be exceeded. Additional guests or visitors require prior approval from management.

Engadine Motor Inn may refuse check-in or terminate a booking if:

• Booking or occupancy information is false or materially inaccurate;
• Identification, payment security or a required bond cannot be provided;
• Maximum occupancy is exceeded;
• Unregistered or unauthorised people enter the property;
• The room is being used, or observed conduct reasonably indicates that it may be used, for a party, unauthorised gathering or unlawful activity; or
• A guest or visitor refuses to comply with these conditions or a reasonable direction from management.

Arrival & Departure

Check-in is from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Check-out is before 10:00 am.

Reception is open from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm daily. Arrival outside these hours is by prior arrangement only.

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability, must be arranged in advance and may incur an additional fee.

Cancellation & Payment Policy

A valid credit card is required to secure all reservations.

Weekday Bookings — Sunday to Thursday Nights Only

No deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment is payable on arrival.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled check-in time, or failure to arrive without notice, will incur a charge equal to 100% of the total accommodation cost.

Bookings Including a Friday or Saturday Night

No deposit is required at the time of booking.

Full payment will be charged to the card provided 48 hours before the scheduled check-in time. For example, payment for a Friday check-in will be processed from 2:00 pm on Wednesday.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled check-in time, or failure to arrive without notice, will incur a charge equal to 100% of the total accommodation cost.

Reservations made within 48 hours of arrival may be charged in full when booked.

Public Holidays, School Holidays & Special Events

Different payment and cancellation conditions may apply during public holidays, school holidays, special events and other high-demand periods. These may include earlier payment deadlines and non-refundable bookings.

Any special conditions will be advised when booking and will take precedence over the standard policy.

Important Information

If payment cannot be processed when due, the reservation will no longer be guaranteed and may be cancelled.

Early departures and unused nights are non-refundable, except where otherwise required by law.

Cancellations sent by email are not confirmed until acknowledged by Engadine Motor Inn by return email. Reservations made through a third-party provider must generally be cancelled or amended through that provider.

Cancellation charges are intended to compensate the motel for its reasonable loss. Where cancelled accommodation is resold, the charge may be adjusted so that the amount retained does not exceed the motel’s reasonable loss and administration costs.

Group, Corporate & Extended-Stay Reservations

Group, corporate and extended-stay reservations may be subject to specific deposit, payment, amendment and cancellation conditions.

These conditions will be stated in the quotation or booking confirmation and will take precedence over the standard policy.

The booking organiser is responsible for communicating the applicable conditions and property rules to all guests included in the reservation.

Rates & Payment

Rates are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST unless otherwise stated. Rates may vary according to room type, occupancy, availability, day of the week and demand.

Minimum-stay requirements or special rates may apply during high-demand periods and will be advised before confirmation.

Engadine Motor Inn accepts cash, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Electronic funds transfer may be accepted by prior arrangement.

Any card surcharge will be disclosed before payment and will not exceed the motel’s cost of accepting that payment method.

Security Pre-authorisation & Bonds

Engadine Motor Inn may require a credit card pre-authorisation of up to $300 per room for incidental charges, damage, excessive cleaning or other amounts payable under these conditions.

A pre-authorisation is not a payment but may temporarily reduce the available balance on the card. Its release time is determined by the cardholder’s financial institution.

Where a valid credit card is unavailable, a cash bond of up to $300 per room may be required. The bond will be refunded after inspection, less any properly chargeable amount.

The booking guest remains responsible for reasonable costs exceeding the pre-authorisation or bond.

No-Party, Visitor & Conduct Policy

Parties, celebrations, unauthorised gatherings and disruptive behaviour are not permitted in rooms or anywhere on the property.

Visitors require prior approval and must leave by 9:00 pm unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Excessive noise is not permitted at any time. Quiet hours apply after 10:00 pm.

Engadine Motor Inn has zero tolerance for threatening, abusive, intimidating, aggressive or violent behaviour towards staff, guests or visitors.

False booking information, excess occupancy, unauthorised visitors, parties, serious disturbances or refusal to follow management’s directions constitute a serious breach of these conditions. Management is not required to provide repeated warnings.

Where conduct presents a safety or security risk, the motel may immediately refuse entry, terminate the booking, require guests and visitors to leave, restrict further access and contact security or NSW Police without further warning.

Accommodation may be terminated without refund, except where otherwise required by law. The booking guest remains responsible for the conduct of everyone connected with their reservation and for any resulting damage, cleaning, security attendance or reasonable loss.

Non-Smoking Policy

Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside rooms and enclosed areas, outside room entrances, within four metres of any room, reception or building entrance, and in all other non-designated areas.

Smoking and vaping are permitted only in the designated smoking area.

A $200 additional cleaning fee will apply where smoking or vaping inside a room, or smoke entering a room, requires additional cleaning.

Reasonable additional costs may also be charged where specialist cleaning, repairs or withdrawal of the room from sale are required.

Damage, Cleaning & Missing Property

The booking guest is responsible for damage, excessive cleaning, missing property or other loss caused by the guest or their visitors.

Chargeable costs may include reasonable cleaning, repair and replacement expenses and lost room revenue where the room cannot reasonably be offered for sale.

Tampering with smoke alarms, CCTV, fire equipment or other safety systems is prohibited and may result in immediate termination of the booking.

Where reasonably practicable, details of additional charges will be provided before, or promptly after, the card or bond is charged.

A $20 replacement fee applies to room keys that are lost or not returned.

Parking & Vehicles

Complimentary onsite parking is available to registered guests, subject to availability.

All vehicles associated with a reservation must be registered with the motel. Additional vehicles, large vehicles and trailers require prior approval.

Vehicles and their contents remain the owner’s responsibility, except to the extent that liability cannot legally be excluded.

Children, Pets & Assistance Animals

Children of all ages are welcome and must be supervised by a responsible adult. Baby cots are available on request, subject to availability.

Pets are not permitted.

Assistance animals recognised under applicable Australian law are welcome. Reasonable evidence may be requested where the animal’s status is not apparent. Advance notice is appreciated, and no pet fee applies to an assistance animal.

Accessibility

Engadine Motor Inn has limited wheelchair-accessible accommodation.

Guests requiring accessible accommodation or other assistance should contact the motel before booking so their requirements and the suitability of available rooms can be discussed.

CCTV & Privacy

CCTV operates in reception, external areas and other common areas for safety, security, incident investigation and the protection of people and property. CCTV is not used inside guest rooms or other private areas.

Engadine Motor Inn collects personal information required to process reservations, receive payment, provide accommodation and maintain safety and security.

Information may be disclosed to booking platforms, payment processors, service providers or relevant authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.

Personal information will only be used for marketing with consent or where otherwise permitted by law. Guests may unsubscribe from marketing communications and may request access to or correction of their personal information.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee, remedy or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

Governing Law & Changes

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Updated terms will apply to reservations made after the revised terms are published. Confirmed reservations remain subject to the conditions provided when booked unless different conditions are subsequently agreed in writing.
